Could you please tell me how much an abdominoplasty would cost and what age people normally have this procedure?

Answer

The reasons for abdominoplasty or tummy tuck surgery are different, and because of this there are also differences in the age at which the treatment is considered by different patients.

The most common situation is abdominoplasty following pregnancy or more frequently multiple pregnancies. Whilst it is probably more likely to be of interest for women in their mid to late 30s, there are also a number of much younger mothers who find themselves with significant shape problems for the abdomen after childbirth.

The other common situation is abdominoplasty following massive weight loss, which is indifferent to the age but of course applicable to adults only.

Less common grounds for abdominoplasty are related to improving abdominal contour following other surgical interventions, and again the age range is very wide.
