Question

I would like to consider the Alpha hydroxy peel for skin lightening purposes. I am African, dark and wish to lighten my skin by a couple of shades.

Most of the research that I have read indicates that I have to use, for a period of a week or 2, alpha hydroxy products at home.

Can these goods be shipped to me as I am not currently in the UK and when I am in the UK in mid April, I will be there for 2 weeks, is this adequate time for me to have meaningful treatments?

I will probably not be back in the UK till July.

Answer

I'm afraid I do not have direct experience with Alpha hydroxy peels, and you may find that it is better to enquire with someone specialising primarily in aesthetic medicine.

An important consideration though is to bear in mind that even for darker skins, sunblock becomes very important if you want to reduce the darkening related to suntan, and it would be useful on a bright day at any temperatures.
