Question

I am a 20 year old female who's been considering rhinoplasty for approx. 6 years now and I'm certain Mr Ion should be my surgeon.

I have two questions: 1) Is 20 years an appropriate age for the procedure? 2) What will be the initial cost of the consultation?

Answer

In general, I recommend waiting until after the age of 18 before considering cosmetic rhinoplasty, so at the age of 20 I do not see any concerns specifically related to facial or nasal development.

Cosmetic surgery involves careful preparation and you may find that after looking into it more carefully you may not wish to proceed to treatment, or you may wish to postpone it.

At the time of the consultation it is possible to elaborate both on the specifics of the treatment plan regarding reshaping of the nose, and this is usually carried out using computer imaging and stimulation, and on the more general topics associated with the rhinoplasty intervention and the general risks and recovery period.

The consultation fee is £300, and it typically covers 2 meetings, which are often beneficial when preparing for the treatment.
