Question

I had rhinoplasty about 5 years ago and have been left with a hard lump on the left side of the tip. Can you tell me what this is and would I need surgery or can it be done by local anaesthetic?

Answer

What you are describing is more likely to be related to an asymmetry of the nasal tip cartilages. In some instances, small corrections are appropriate under a local anaesthetic, but it does depend on the overall amount of change that you would like to achieve, and the characteristics of the nasal tip cartilages and skin.

It would be possible to determine during the consultation whether the local anaesthetic procedure is appropriate and want it would entail.
