I broke my nose 4 years ago and ever since I hate the way it looks.
Can I have my nose reshaped even though it is broken and if so would it cost more?
Post-traumatic rhinoplasty is one of the most common interventions, and specifically aims to address the problems related to injury and fracture of the framework of the nose.
There is one situation where the procedure is more complex and would involve slightly higher costs, and it is referred to as boxer nose deformity. The underlying problem is loss of a significant amount of cartilage from the nasal septum due to either repeated injuries or haematoma (collection of blood) around the septal cartilage.
In a situation like this, the rib cartilage graft approach may need to be used in order to restore a balanced and strong support to the bridge and tip of the nose.
At the time of a consultation it would be possible to evaluate the nature of the problems as well as your goals for the final shape, and then determine what is the best course of action.
