Can you give me some information about steroid injection on the top of the nose?
I understand that you had surgery and that you are concerned regarding the swelling of the nasal tip.
Steroid injections represent one of the modalities to influence the swelling and can be carried out several times at an interval of 4 to 6 weeks.
The potential problems are related to pain and swelling at the time of the injection, infection and irregularities in the shape of the nasal tip due to the effect of the steroid.
For this reason, the injections may need to be carried out in low dosage and that means less effectiveness and more treatment sessions in order to gain better control of the treatment.
