Question

I would like to know how much do you charge for consultation and for a deep face chemical peel?

I got melasma on my face since 2 years due to the contraceptive pill (I consulted a dermatologist about it). Now I have stopped the pill, I would like the get my "pregnancy mask" removed with a chemical peel. I believe I should get a deep peel.

Could you please give me an estimate price for the consultation and the procedure?

Answer

Treatment of pigmentation is usually with a medium depth medical grade chemical peel. A deep, medical grade chemical peel would normally be advised in the case of problematic acne scarring, and is best carried out after a period of preparation of the skin.

The characteristics of the skin are also important and treatment for darker skin types needs to be more carefully tailored to avoid a rebound pigmentation. In addition, following the chemical peel a period of treatment of the skin with bleaching agents and sunblock is fundamental to consolidate the results.

The typical cost for the consultation is £300. The chemical peel is usually charged at £800. Skin preparation treatments like the Obaji protocols cost approximately £350 for a six-week treatment.
