I am male who's lower face is very rounded from the front, almost a complete semi-circle.
However, from the side I have a distinct pointy chin. I think, I am looking to decrease the horizontal dimension of the chin, and increase the vertical dimension, (very slightly) as to create a more angular, masculine jaw line and chin.
What procedures would you advise in my case?
From your description, a genioplasty intervention seems most appropriate.
It can be combined with volume reduction in the cheeks using possibly a combination of[ liposuction][ 23]and buccal fat reduction.
It is possible to evaluate in a consultation using 3-D imaging and simulation what it is that you would like to achieve as a cosmetic enhancement. I would recommend a consultation in the facial sculpting clinic that I run together with a maxillofacial colleague who specialises in interventions on the facial skeleton including genioplasty.
