Question

I broke my nose as a child and it is assymetrical. The bone seems to be in a swerve or diagonal position.

I would not like to change the shape of my nose but I would like to make the bone straight so that my nose is symetrical, restoring it back to the shape it was supposed to have.

Is this possible?

Answer

A significant post-traumatic deviation of the nose, frequently requires adjustment in the shape and relationship of several of the components that give structural support.

Whilst it is possible to aim for a similar overall shape for the nose, I would say there will always be some differences as a result of the adjustment.

It would be potentially beneficial to start by evaluating the impact of some of the changes on a computer simulation either on standard photographs or in 3-D, and work from there.
