I have just had my 3rd baby (17th Feb this year) and have a "severe" need for abdominoplasty to say the least as I still look 6 months pregnant.
I know its only been 8 weeks since having my baby but I looked like this after having my first baby and even though I lost the majority of my "baby weight" I still had a massive protruding stomach.
How soon can I have a consulation and how soon can surgery be undertaken?
Usually, we can organise a consultation within a few weeks of the request. With regards to surgery, the waiting time if typically 3-6 weeks, but overall we make every effort to accomodate requests promptly.
It is generally accepted that a minimum cooling off period of 2 weeks is to the patient's benefit.
In terms of the interval between the delivery and surgery, it does depend on whether you are breastfeeding. Typically, elective surgery is best avoided until after you have stopped breastfeeding.
