I would like to ask you for some information regarding facial proportions and in particular the vertical height of the lower thirds of my face.
I would say the excess vertical height is even between my nose and both my lower and upper jaw. I have considered rhinoplasty but this will only correct the length of my nose and not the distance between my eyes and mouth which I wanted to shorten.
Do you know the procedures to shorten this distance and the vertical height of my jaws. I have heard of Le Fort fractures performed with dentistry but haven't found any other solutions.
Do you know any places in the UK that do these procedures.
My suggestion would be to attend for a consultation using 3-D imaging where facial proportions as well as nose reshaping can be evaluated.
You may then find that you only seek a rhinoplasty procedure.
For more in-depth discussion regarding jaw surgery, it would be possible to attend one of the joint facial sculpting clinics that I do together with a maxillofacial colleague.
If at the end of the planning you find that jaw alignment surgery is all you would like to do, then my colleague would take over since this is not part of my practice.
