Question

Is buccal fat reduction alone enough to see a difference?

I am only 16 this june but I know this surgery would make me more confident if I was to have it soon or in a year or so.

Are there anyways to reduce fat in the face without surgery?

How much does this cost?

Answer

I do not tend to carry out cosmetic surgery for the face at such a young age, and to some extent you are able to operate more significant changes in your appearance by adjusting the weight.

In general terms, buccal fat reduction has a more visible impact when the outer layer of fatty tissue in the cheeks is thin or moderate, and less impact when the outer layer of fatty tissue is thicker.

As a planning approach, I prefer to work with my patients through a computer imaging and simulation in 3-D so they can guide me to the degree of change that they seek.

Based on the changes desired and the clinical evaluation, I can give better guidance regarding the procedure or combination of procedures necessary to achieve a result reasonably close to their expectations.
