I was wondering whether breast augmentation could be done (with parental consent) to someone under the ages of 18?
The reason being that I have one breast that is considerably smaller than the other one and needs to be corrected.
I think I am fully developed as I am a size 12 and am 5 foot 7 inches. I am nearly 16 and my mother understands that something needs to be done.
Is it possible (legal) to have it done before 18 or is there anything I could do in the mean time that then may have to be changed when I'm older?
Treatment for breast asymmetry can be started earlier than 18, in particular in severe problems or Poland's syndrome, and it may well require further adjustments over the years.
In case of severe asymmetries, the treatment may also be suitable for NHS funding, and you should discuss your concerns with your GP.
