I was recently advised that after using topical steroids prescribed by my GP for many years, my facial skin is so thin that a face lift would not 'hold' in place for more than 2-3 years. Is this correct?
There are different types of facelift interventions, that rely on deeper structures to provide longer lasting contour improvement.
I think generally speaking prolonged oral steroids represent a bigger problem than topical treatments, but I would have to see you exact situation in order to be able to advise you.
Is a generic statement, I think you can expect longer lasting results after topical steroids even for prolonged treatments.
