My nose is long, can you shorten it and how?

Answer

Reduction rhinoplasty is broadly the most common of rhinoplasty procedures.

There is frequently also an issue of shortening for the nose, in particular in the context of reducing the projection of the tip of the nose and correction of the nasal bump.

The mechanism is most commonly a reduction walk the lower part of the nasal septum, which can be combined with reduction of the alar cartilages (the central pillars of the alar cartilages also called medial crura).

In an open tip rhinoplasty procedure it is also possible to secure the alar cartilages (cartilages of the tip of the nose) to the bridge of the nose to have more control of the degree of shortening.
