Do UK surgeons remove turkey wattle vertical neck bands by an under chin vertical incision?
Had platysmaplasty and facelift done many years ago and have no skin behind ears.
Would you like to see images of vertical scar?
It is indeed possible to use direct excision of the skin excess under the chin, which is a smaller intervention.
Although you had a facelift and platysmaplasty it is possible to create a significant improvement of the contour of the neck by repeating the operation with more extensive treatment under the chin, but avoiding the vertical (or more commonly zigzag) scar under the chin.
Under the chin, there are 2 layers of fatty tissue, one under the skin and one under the platysma muscles, both of which can be addressed to achieve a more elegant contouring of the neck.
I would be happy to see you in consultation and explain the alternatives.
