Question

I would like to know how long you think I should wait before having pulsed-dye laser treatment for mild thread veins on the nose after having rhinoplasty surgery?

Answer

In general terms, it is recommended to wait for approximately 6 months following rhinoplasty before contemplating treatment to the red marks on the nerves as they can become more prominent after the surgery. This is because some of the increased redness is temporary in nature.

In relation to the ability of the skin to tolerate the treatment it is much earlier, and if you are talking about treating a pre-existing condition 6-8 weeks following the surgery is probably sufficient.
