How much would it cost to transfer fat from my belly and back into my buttocks?
Gluteal augmentation using fat transfer counts as a large area fat transfer.
One of the limitations of this type of surgery is the amount of fatty tissue that can be successfully injected in one area, bearing in mind that it needs to take a graft and pickup blood supply locally.
The decision really depends on 2 factors:
If for instance you need a moderate amount of enhancement to the gluteal region, it may easily be achieved by harvesting either from the flanks or from the abdomen. The other area can be treated as liposuction.
If you need a relatively large amount of enhancement to the gluteal region, it is best to restrict the harvesting to one area in case you want to repeat the treatment in a few years time.
