I am looking into the chin reduction surgery and wondered how soon after the operation I would be able to fly?
The main consideration with travelling after surgery is related to the risk of deep vein thrombosis in the legs.
Typically, the risk levels return to baseline close to 6 weeks after surgery, so for shorter journeys it is possible to travel sooner, but for longer flights it is preferable to allow more time.
