Question

I am experiencing dark circle under my each eye and I would like to have them removed, is that possible?

Answer

Dark circles under the eyes can be related to several problems including:

• Pigmentation
• Translucency of the very thin skin in the area and visibility of the colour of the muscles underneath
• The presence of the deep groove which creates a shadow and associated darkness

The degree of correction achievable depends on the specifics for each patient, and probably the least correctable is the situation where transparency of the skin produces visibility of the underlying muscles of the lower lid.
