I am interested in cheek reduction surgery for my asian girlfriend.

Answer

Cheek reduction surgery can take two forms:

• Bone reduction

• Soft tissue reduction

I would suggest a consultation in the facial sculpting clinic that I run together with a maxillofacial colleague, and using computer imaging and simulation in 3-D it would be possible to evaluate the degree of change desired.

Based on this evaluation, it is then possible to determine what type of intervention is most suitable, the associated potential problems and indeed whether the required degree of change is indeed achievable.
