I am 19 years old and I am very conscious about my nose. It stops me from doing simple everyday things. I get so down about it and I'm constantly locking myself away in my room.
I am really just wondering if there is any way I could receive free NHS rhinoplasty, this would give me a new lease of life.
The first step would be to see your GP and to see a clinical psychologist. There is no reason why the appearance of the nose should stop you from going out, even if you find its shape objectionable.
Your GP should be able to advise you whether this type of surgery can be carried out through the NHS, as there are strict guidelines regarding funding of interventions that are not a clinical priority.
