I had my nose broken 10 years ago. It has caused a bend to the bridge of my nose and a hump from one angle.
I had a septoplasty 7 months ago which has healed well and I now have no problems with breathing.
How long would I need to wait to undergo rhinoplasty to straighten the bridge?
It is possible to start planning for the intervention at this stage. The surgery itself should probably be deferred until approximately 9 months following the septoplasty.
It would be very important to bring with you for the rhinoplasty consultation all the information regarding the septoplasty. An important point is whether septal cartilage has been removed from the posterior part of the septum, in order to understand whether there is still an availability for potential cartilage grafts.
