I have been considering chin reduction surgery for a long time and wondered if you could give me an idea of first steps and a rough idea of total price I would be looking at - although I understand the exact price would depend on the most suitable procedure.
In general, when contemplating chin reduction surgery, it is important to appreciate the broad aspects related to upper and lower jaw relationships. In some instances, the best intervention is to reset the jaw for improvement of the relationship of the teeth as well as the general facial proportions.
My approach is to use 3-D imaging in consultation and evaluate the characteristics of the facial structures and balance as well as the type and degree of correction that you would like to achieve.
If resetting the lower or upper and lower jaws appears to be of potential benefit to you I would also recommend that you discuss with a maxillofacial specialist.
