I just wanted to know during rhinoplasty surgery is a tube needed to go down your throat?
If it does can it be done whilst you're asleep under anaesthetic, because it would be a problem for me to do it while I'm awake?
Most rhinoplasty interventions take place as general anaesthetic day case procedures, and a laryngeal mask or tube is used during the procedure.
This is placed within seconds after the patient is asleep, to control breathing. You would not be aware of it at any point during the treatment.
