Dear Mr Ion, I am currently working as cabin crew for a popular airline. If I had the septorhinoplasty procedure how long would one be expected to stay off work?
I would typically advise two weeks for return to work, which is no different from general office type work. I do appreciate that as cabin crew, the work is slightly more physical, but overall not massively different from office based activities.
The chance of being troubled by nosebleeds decreases significantly after the first week, even in the context of pressure variations.
With regards to the risk of deep vein thrombosis, this is related to lack of mobility, and is therefore more relevant to the airline passengers embarking on longer journeys rather than cabin crew.
