Is liposuction a possibility to remove excess fat from my armpits?

Question

I would like to explore the possibility of removing protruding excess fat from my armpit using liposuction. This has caused me much distress all of my teenage and adult years.

I am not significantly overweight and exercise/weight loss has done very little to reduce the fat in this area.

Is this procedure typical and how much would it cost for both underarms?

Answer

The fatty tissue in the armpit is often breast tissue, and may or may not be amenable to liposuction treatment. In some instances, and open correction may be required.
