Your questions answered by our surgeon, Lucian Ion, FRCS(Plast)
Asked on 11 June 2012
I have an extremely round face, something I have lived with since the day I was born. I have recently been conducting research and I am interested to know what procedure / combination of procedures might be right for me.
It would be great if I could send some pictures and get some advice. I know there are more 'extreme' methods such as 'facial contouring' but I am curious to know what / how buccal removal may compare for example.
Thank you for your enquiry.
For facial sculpting photographs are not particularly useful as they flatten the images and lose the spatial element.
A consultation using 3-D imaging and simulation provides a clear platform to define your targets for change, and evaluate whether they are feasible and what type of procedure or combination of procedures may be required.
