Question

I am considering coming for a consultation soon regarding facial fat transfer.

I have a few questions:

• Which type of grafting method do you use, and is it stem cell enriched?
• Does stem cell fat grafting last longer than the traditional method, as a lot of doctors who are doing this method claim so?
• Also can fat be injected into the periorbital part of the eye (the outer part, towards the temple as I have hollowing)

Answer

I use the Coleman technique for the fat transfer, without stem cell enhancement.

The question whether stem cell enhancement makes a difference compared to the Coleman technique is still not well answered as far as I know.

It is indeed possible to use fat transfer to the temporal region, lateral brow and forehead, and it is often beneficial in terms of the contouring effect.

I typically use 3-D imaging and simulation to evaluate the target for change and formulate the plan of treatment.
