Question

I am looking to have nose surgery in the coming months. I am aware that a face to face consultation would be required for a full detailed response, but would like just to get a general idea if that is OK. Firstly, my nose is what you may call, all round un-pretty.

Was OK-ish when I was younger, but as I have got older the bump at the bridge has got more prominent, and the tip a bit bulbous, and even worse has started to lift upwards giving the effect that my top lip also raised with it a tad.

Is this, being that there are 3 elements to rectify, possible as part of rhinoplasty?

Answer

The reduction rhinoplasty surgery frequently involves correction of a bump on the bridge of the nose and reduction of the width of the tip.

Depending on the characteristics of the underside of the tip, it may be that an upward or downward rotational the tip is beneficial to achieve a balanced appearance.

From your description, it appears that the correction required involves a reduction of the anterior nasal spine which is the bony prominence that you feel that the base of the columella, between the nostrils. This type of correction is illustrated in the rhinoplasty gallery on this website.
