Immediate

Treatment with hyaluronic acid usually takes less than thirty minutes. For wrinkle treatments no anaesthetic is required, although it can be arranged at your request. Lip enhancement is usually performed under local anaestheic.

Results are immediate and reactions to treatment are mild.

Common injection-related reactions include swelling, redness, pain, itching, discolouration and tenderness of the implant site. These typically resolve spontaneously in a day or two after injections into the skin and within one week after injection into the lips.

Other reactions are very rare (about 1 in 2,000 treated patients) and include swelling at the implant site and occasionally surrounding tissue, redness, tenderness and acne-like formations. These reactions typically begin a few days to four weeks after hyaluronic acid treatment and last an average of two weeks.
